To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Lab Technician - Inspector opportunity, you will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of related work experience, such as in manufacturing; experience in lab settings is preferred, and optical experience would be ideal.
  • The ability to:
    • Meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment.
    • Add, subtract and understand decimal sequencing.
    • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • 20/20 vision with or without lenses, depth perception and manual dexterity.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail.
You need to know:
  • This position requires that you sit for most of your shift, although there also may be standing and walking.
  • You'll work with and around chemicals.
  • You'll need to be able to lift and move 15 to 25 lbs. to waist height on a regular basis.
In addition to following a safety-first approach, we are currently observing COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health and safety of visitors and employees. That means you will need to wear a face covering if and when you interview.

Role Overview

Your main goal will be to insert inspect both uncut and edged lenses to ensure that they are optically and cosmetically accurate. While you'll have some supervision, you'll still need to be able to analyze situations and use your judgment. The duties of this position are usually repetitive. Once you're fully trained, you'll be expected to meet quotas in a fast-paced environment.

We need to be versatile and able to multitask to keep the workflow moving, so you may help out in other areas. We'll provide cross-training.

We'll provide training, but change will be ongoing, and your own role may evolve. We're looking for adaptable and flexible people who can excel in a fast-paced production environment. In addition, in order to be an outstanding Lab Technician - Inspector, you will:
