To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor’s or master' degree in Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in process engineering, data analytics or knowledge management in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with supply chain operations.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including the ability to pull and manipulate data, and proficiency with other MS Office applications.
You need to know:
  • You may work with and around chemicals.
  • The role may require sitting and/or standing for extended periods.
  • You'll need to be able to lift and move up to 15 lbs. to waist height on a regular basis.
  • We are customer driven, so we'll look to you to be flexible about working overtime as needed, possibly including weekends.
You also will need to be willing and able to travel internationally, although we don't expect you will travel more than 5% of the time. You'll to to facilities in Mexico, Europe and Asia for benchmark meetings.

You will work cross-functionally with managers of all areas, including walking through the different operational areas with supply chain and production managers. More specifically, you will:
  • Manage production issues, yield performance analysis and drive improvement plan.
  • Identify and establish new work standards (PCP, SOP) for process improvement and drive accountability.
  • Subject matter expert on processes, products, technology and equipment as it relates to lab operations.
  • Manage the development and automation of reports ranging from basic to complex for the purpose of delivering data driven results in the form of daily lab operations analysis.
  • Identify and implement best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Leverage statistical process control tools and methods to improve operations based on analytical models to analyze and interpret data for forecasting.
  • Communicate findings to a variety of stakeholders including management, equipment vendors and department employees.
  • Support the deployment of automated data extraction tools to compile data models and publish onto a local server or cloud based data architecture as needed.
  • Occasional overnight travel up to 10%.
