Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Management & HR Operational Excellence, you will be an individual contributor, and you'll have support from a shared HR Analyst. You'll oversee all learning & development (L&D) programs across the organization, both instructor-led and virtual.

You can expect to invest half of your time in developing curriculum and the other half in delivering it. The Analyst may deliver some training, based on workload, you'll work with vendors in some cases. At the same time, we'll look to you to own L&D, acting as a consultant and influencer.

In developing curriculum, you'll get requirements from managers and HR business partners. From there you will create the course, and deliver it according to an L&D calendar that you set up and maintain. You'll also need to get the word out to targeted learners and track attendance. Quick question for you - click here

Most of your asynchronous content will be delivered via Essilor University (EU), a Moodle-based platform. There is a dedicated global administrative team for EU, with whom you will interface. If you don't already have basic admin skills, they can help you learn them.

You'll create a variety of programs and delivery methods to engage the learning community. This will include lunch-and-learn sessions, in-person instruction, live webinars, videos, infographics and other methods you create. We expect to be doing more and more virtual learning moving forward.

There will be other initiatives as well. We mentioned the need for a Managers Essentials course, and we're also looking at microlearning. You'll take point, for example, on chunking up 90 minutes of content into shorter sessions that get people back to work quickly.

Note: this description is intended to give you a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive listing of duties and responsibilities.
