To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Data Analyst opportunity, you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or Human Resources.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • A demonstrated ability to:
    • Draw, from the data, a story that offers business insight and suggests action.
    • Translate complex, technical information into language that is accessible to non-analytical people.
  • Excellent quantitative skills, including data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and IT skills, including:

    • Familiarity with tools such as R and Tableau; advanced proficiency is a strong plus.
  • Strong business acumen, including an understanding of basic business and financial concepts.
  • Experience in the analytics spaces within the HR function is preferred.
  • Previous experience of Workday is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with continuous improvement is a plus.

You will join our HR Operational Excellence team, which is responsible for reporting, continuous improvement, and more. Most of our data comes from Workday, our HRIS, but it is dispersed in several locations. We currently have basic data analyses processes in place, and your remit will be to take analytics to a new level. Quick question for you - click here

This will include developing data structures, analytics, and data visualizations that enable us to find insights and take action. You will partner with Essilor of America’s Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Services, and Inclusion & Diversity Teams.

More specifically, you will:
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and HR colleagues in other COEs to identify key workforce issues impacting the business.
  • Merge structured, semi-structured and unstructured data from several systems to highlight company trends related to recruiting, developing, engaging and retaining talent.
  • Use consulting skills to determine and articulate internal customer business questions, develop the best approach for data analysis and turn data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Participate in HR analytics projects to investigate potential measures, correlations and causality connections for critical business issues.
  • Develop hypotheses, document assumptions, and analyze results as they relate to key business initiatives.
  • Explore and analyze the data creatively to identify HR analytics solutions that add value in the strategic decision-making process.
  • Conduct prediction and trend analyses to anticipate the changes in the business, and to enable better decision making.
  • Effectively communicate statistical analyses, results, and implications to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver high quality analysis, reports, and presentations using simple and effective visualizations that can be scaled for consumption by a larger audience.
  • Create and maintain monthly and quarterly workforce dashboards. Develop processes to streamline the compilation of periodic reporting/analysis.
  • Create advanced models in excel to combine data sources and steer business decisions.
