You will divide your time fairly evenly between engaging with the Analysts in the production areas and handling analytical and administrative responsibilities. You'll also interact regularly with other departments and functions. Initially, you'll help develop processes and procedures, building and improving on existing ones. This will include establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for production quality as well as Analyst performance. Quick question for you - click here

The Analyst's main role is to assess jobs that have been flagged as potentially unacceptable, communicate with production, and get unacceptable jobs restarted in a timely manner. You will need to flexible and adaptable as the lab, the quality function and your own role continue to evolve. There is a fair amount of ambiguity to navigate, even as you help implement the structures that minimize ambiguity. Of course, standards for quality and safety are always clear and unambiguous, although they are subject to change.

Leadership skills will be important, with regard to both your team and your interactions with different areas. You should be comfortable interacting with diverse personalities. As you help implement change, you'll need to be able to influence and motivate others to get on board.

Currently, the Analysts support specific assigned departments, but you will help minimize silos and promote collaboration and communication across the team. We may make physical changes to promote this, but there also will be a cultural aspect. You'll help ensure that the Analysts think less in terms of "my department" and more in terms of "We're quality and we work together."
