To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Supply Chain Planner opportunity, you will have:

    • Extensive knowledge of DRP / MRP systems; Oracle experience preferred

Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, as Supply Chain Planner, you will support Essilor’s lens products portfolio by being responsible for developing and executing Master and SKU level plans to support service level, inventory and new product releases to meet customer demand. You'll manage backorders, inventory coming into the DC, and support multiple product launches throughout the year. Specifically, you will:
  • Establish action plans to support customer demand, inventory plans and manufacturing constraints to ensure SKU balancing to achieve:
    • Fill rate and backorders objectives
    • Inventory targets
    • New product releases
  • Execute the Master plan on a monthly basis, and S&OP twice a year, to balance U.S. objectives and projections with worldwide objectives for inventory and production
  • Execute and track SKU level plans utilizing DRP or other planning tools on a weekly basis, as well as, planning activities including:
    • Placement of requirements to plants
    • Shipments tracking
  • Analyze backorder root causes and develop an action plan to speed up recovery (activate faster shipment method, prioritization with vendors, etc.); provide reliable recovery dates
  • Determine and maintain the SKU level attributes, such as safety stock and lead times, for Distribution Centers (DCs)
  • Track actual activity versus planned activity, including, but not limited to:
    • Product Mix vs Plan
    • Inventory Levels vs. Plan
    • Actual receipts vs. Plan
  • Evaluate and review forecast and sales variances with Demand Planners to understand service risks or obsolescence risks, including, but not limited to:
    • Notifying Demand Planners of any major discrepancies between orders and forecasts
    • Analyzing the impact to inventory and fill rate for special customer demand
  • Manage Supply Chain planning activities pertinent to the timely release of new products including:
    • New product setups and attributes
    • Developing launch and replenishment safety stock based on the master plan
    • Executing and tracking inventory build to achieve fill rate objectives
    • Developing and maintaining appropriate communication channels
  • Monitor essential KPI’s and develop/execute corrective actions when outside established boundaries
  • All other duties assigned by management within the scope of the position
