To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a good fit for the Coating Maintenance Supervisor opportunity, you will have:

• Proven experience in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting; experience with electronics is a plus.
• Experience in the optical industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and plumbing aptitude.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Leadership abilities; experience in team lead and/or supervisory roles is a plus.

• A self-starter mentality and demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision

You also will need to be willing and able to travel 75% to 95% of the time. Typically, you will fly to sites on Friday and return on Tuesday, with days off being Wednesday and Thursday. We rotate travel among the team so that you will travel three weeks and then have one week working from your home office. You'll also provide phone support and participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation. We don't work on major holiday or travel on holiday weekends.

We provide a laptop, smartphone, tools and a corporate travel card. You'll need to pass a background check to qualify for the travel card. Our preference is that you live in the Dallas area, but we are open to qualified candidates who live anywhere in the US within an hour of an airport.

Reporting to the Coating Maintenance Manager, you will join a team that includes another Supervisor and several Technicians. You'll supervise about half of the team and specialize in anti-reflective coating equipment. You and your team will be responsible for preventative maintenance, installation, testing, troubleshooting and modification, as needed, of assigned coating equipment in our smaller labs. Quick question for you - click here

More specifically, you will:

• Specialize in the preventative maintenance and production support of assigned coating equipment.
• Troubleshoot remote labs via telephone or site visits.
• Assist in maintenance as needed.
• Provide training on all new processes, procedures and equipment.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and technologies affecting our industry.
• Ensure consumable compliance.
• Assist in developing processing procedures for all new equipment.
• Develop and maintain vendor relations for the development and implementation of products and processes.
• Track test equipment usage and maintenance/calibration requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and issue complete and timely reports on equipment operations.
• Assist all departments within the Deployment group as needed.
• Represent Essilor in a professional manner.
• Handle other duties as assigned by your manager.

Your technical knowledge will be essential, but just as important will be your leadership and interpersonal skills.
