Reporting to the Quality Manager, your internal title will be QA Breakage Analyst, and you will join a team that includes about seven other Breakage Analysts as well as other QA personnel. Your main responsibility will be to assess jobs that have been flagged as potentially unacceptable. You'll follow established standards and also use your own judgement, looking at breakage, cosmetic blemishes and other issues.

If you determine that a job is unacceptable, you will communicate with production, explain the issue, and ensure that the job is restarted in a timely manner. It will be important for you to develop collaborative relationships with production leaders, as you will provide feedback in real time.

You'll also record decisions and upload data that will be used to drive improvements. Breakage is a critical key performance indicator (KPI) for us, and we'll also look to you to identify trends, and share that information with the right people. In some cases you may work directly with engineers solving problems. You also may support special projects, such as the new lab buildout or new product development.

Note: this description is intended to give you a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive listing of duties and responsibilities.
