Reporting to the General Manager, as Manager, Optical Frames Operations, you will coordinate all aspects of warehouse activities, including direct supervision of warehouse employees. You will directly manage two experienced supervisors covering the first and second shifts respectively, and indirectly manage a 2-shift team of up to 40 coordinators and operators supporting the fulfillment and distribution of optical frames and related products from our Dallas Distribution Center. 

You will be responsible for a broad scope of the facility from managing the daily receiving, shipping and warehouse schedules to developing and managing your team, working with other Supply Chain personnel to set strategy, implement new policies and procedures, and meet budget goals, drive processes and ongoing improvements and more. This is a wide-reaching role in a fast-paced environment. You'll adjust priorities throughout the day to ensure goal attainment, work directly with customers, providing outstanding service and solving problems. In addition, you will:
  • Manage all distribution/fulfillment center activities in support of operations, including but not limited to, receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping materials for business operations (frames, accessories, store supplies and capital equipment).
  • Support the Company's frames strategy by developing the best processes in terms of efficiency and customer expectations.
  • Lead, mentor and develop Distribution and Fulfillment Center associates in the performance of daily, weekly and monthly activities to maximize site performance.
  • Provide back-up support of entire facility in absence of General Manager.

  • Work in partnership with other facility leaders, in Supply Chain and the Business, to ensure customers (independent eye care professionals) have the materials required to conduct their business operations.
  • Develop an efficient Returns process (RTV - Return to the vendor) to receive a refund, replacement, or repair during the product's warranty period.
  • Oversee "refresh" projects multiple times over the year when clients will refresh their collection with new frames and return the old frames

  • Provide leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with Essilor policies regarding labor relations, quality and operational standards.
  • Meet operational performance goals in terms of productivity, safety and HR indicators (turnover, absenteeism).
  • Meet all HR responsibilities, including ensuring staff and associate performance reviews are maintained.
  • Be responsible for data analysis, workload planning and volume forecasting.
  • Leverage the WMS and TMS systems, as required, to support ongoing operations.
