To be a good fit for the Sandblaster opportunity, you will have:
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in production/manufacturing environments is preferred, but we will train you.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to:
    • Read, write and perform basic math.
    • Complete assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner and detect and resolve problems in the performance of those tasks.
    • Lift/move 10 - 35 lbs. over 80% of the time.
    • Acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of product, process and equipment.
    • Work around chemicals.
  • Basic computer proficiency and a basic understanding of Windows environments.
In addition, you will need:
  • A collaborative approach.
  • The ability to:
    • Hold yourself to high standards.
    • Work with little to no supervision.
    • Has ability to work safely.
    • Meet or exceed all quality standards.
    Attention to detail.
You need to know:
  • You may work with and around chemicals.
  • The role may require sitting and/or standing for extended periods.
  • You'll need to be able to lift and move up to 15 lbs. to waist height on a regular basis.
  • We are customer driven, so we'll look to you to be flexible about working overtime as needed, possibly including weekends.

You will operate sandblasting equipment to remove anti-reflective coating from interior shields and chamber parts. This will include:
  • Supporting changeout of chamber parts and maintaining “clean” inventory of chamber parts to prevent chamber downtime.
  • Operating and starting chamber cycles, opening chambers and removing sectors for flipping and/or de-ring.
  • Supporting routine care of dip coat racks and carriers to prevent build-up and the unwanted transference of coating and other chemicals.
More specifically, you will:
  • Sandblast chamber parts.
  • Perform machine set up with shields and other parts.
  • Perform parts changeout.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance, such as deep chamber cleaning.
  • Maintain your work area and equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion.
  • Perform quality checks as needed.
  • Support maintenance of inventory of all related consumables.
  • Perform all necessary minor maintenance of sandblasting.
  • Support attainment of all departmental goals for productivity, quality, safety and service.
  • Demonstrate and utilize continuous improvement techniques to exceed minimum standards.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of discipline, integrity and work ethic.
  • Perform other duties as required.
